Rev. Terri Swann has served Salem UMC, a dynamic multi-site in St. Louis, since 2008. She has experienced a ‘Planned Succession’ twice…first upon coming to Salem, and then now in 2026 as she and Bishop Bob Farr have arranged for her successor (Rev Joy Gonzalez) to be appointed this year as the “Sr. Pastor Designate” to become Terri’s successor in 2027.
Throughout her ministry, Terri has been recognized for her heart for leadership development, as reflected in her role as Chair of the Board of Ordained Ministry in the Missouri Conference. A native of Southern Illinois, Terri has previously served in McKinney, Texas
